Given that the procedures we have just mentioned do not yet exist and/or only partially cover issues raised by the activities of transnational corporations, it would be wise to establish a specific mechanism within the framework of ECOSOC or the General Assembly, such as the establishment of a committee or working group responsible for applying the Sub-Commission’s standards or, as some observers suggest, the creation of a specific International Criminal Court for transnational corporations.
