HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL
Workshop on promoting and protecting economic, social and cultural rights within the context of addressing inequalities in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic
(6-8 février 2023)

Indeed, many governments, often through lack of will, but sometimes also through lack of capacity, fail to train their administrative and judicial staff, who are crucial to the implementation of ESC rights.

This is, of course, a considerable but indispensable task, and constitutes the first stage in the implementation of ESC rights. In this task, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights could support governments that request its assistance.
