13/10/2025

HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL
60th session
8th of September – 8th of October 2025

[Excerpt of the statement]

Humanity today faces existential challenges such as land grabbing, biodiversity loss, threats to seeds from industrial selection, and increasing environmental degradation. As the report highlights, in the face of these threats, the UNDRIP provides a particularly effective and concrete legal and political lever for action. It makes it possible to strengthen national legislative frameworks, guide public policy and open up spaces for inclusive dialogue between states and rural populations.
