One of the main obstacles is undoubtedly the lack of political will on the part of States to control and regulate the activities of transnational corporations operating on their territory and/or from their territory. However, in recent years, various UN human rights mechanisms have repeatedly drawn attention to this issue, particularly since the adoption of the Norms developed by your Working Group.
