It should be noted from the outset that the Millennium Development Goals are extremely modest, given that they aim to reduce the number of poor people by only half in 15 years, with the other half being sacrificed outright. As its name suggests, this is a goal, even though all indications show that the Millennium Development Goals cannot be achieved by 2015 due to a lack of funding and, above all, a lack of necessary policy changes.
