Corporations are explicitly claiming for a “formal and recognized place at the UN table” in the name of a new “inclusive multilateralism and collaboration”. This “collaboration” is to be, if not already, dramatically asymmetric: the private sector has much more resources to push its agenda forward and defend its interests rather than affected communities, NGOs and even some States.
