Stop to the partnership between OHCHR and Microsoft

05/07/2017

CETIM and other NGOs and associations call on the Office Of The United Nations High Commissioner For Human Rights to end the partnership with Microsoft.

CETIM made a statement during the last Human Rights Council. With more than 30 other organizations, CETIM’s called on the Office Of The United Nations High Commissioner For Human Rights  to respect the standards of integrity that had previously been the rule.

The OHCHR is a politically sensitive body at the core of the UN system, developing and administrating standards for human rights and justice with implications for all of us – including business. As such the Office must under no circumstances accept funds from the corporate sector. This has been the practice in the past, and there is every reason to uphold this rule.
